Overview

Ninja spies are perhaps the most enigmatic and mysterious class. While some ninja are little more than assassins , true ninja spies are masters of exotic weapons, tools of stealth, and strange ki powers. Ninja spies are members of a secretive ninja clan, the head of which holds absolute authority over the ninja's life and death. They are sworn to secrecy to protect the identities of their clan members and must never reveal that they are ninja. Despite their inclination to evil, ninja believe strongly in a code of honor, and risk offending their family (and earning a death sentence) if they break that code of honor.

Some ninja have a magical background. In Rokugan, ninja are the stuff of legends. Some refuse to believe they exist. Ninja train in the Shosuro school of the Scorpion clan, though other, mysterious ninja may operate in the Empire as well.

    • Magical Poison: Target takes 1d4 points of Poison damage (which scales with Melee Power) every 3 seconds for 15 seconds.
    • The target's vulnerability to poison increased by 5%.
    • This ability can stack up to 20 times.
    • On timer expiration, 5 stacks of Ninja Poison are removed at a time.

Enhancement Fists of Iron Icon.png Fists of Iron:

  • Earth Ki Melee Attack: You have imbued your attacks with extra force. Performs a melee attack with:
    • +2[W] damage
    • +1 critical threat range
    • +1 Critical Damage Multiplier

Enhancement Knock on the Sky Icon.png Knock on the Sky:

  • Air Ki Melee Attack: You strike your opponent, deflecting their momentum. Performs a melee attack with:
    • +1[W] damage
    • Your enemy deals 4% less physical damage for 30 seconds. This effect can stack up to 5 times.

Enhancement Unbalancing Strike Icon.png Unbalancing Strike:

  • Water Ki Melee Attack: You have learned several joint strikes. You can attack these weak points of your opponent, dealing:
    • +3[W] damage
    • Throwing your opponent off balance for a short period of time.
      • This reduces their armor class by 2, applies a -10 penalty to their Balance skill, and renders them vulnerable to sneak attacks.
      • A successful save negates this effect: Reflex DC: 10 + Half Monk Level + Wisdom Modifier + Trip Bonus
      • The target receives periodic saves to attempt to break free of this effect.

If another ability allows you to remain centered while wielding other types of melee weapons, then those weapons will also get the benefit of Sting of the Ninja if they are normally Piercing or Slashing weapons.
