The Sanctum: Quench the Flames

The Dark Six are powerful gods of evil. Cast out of the Sovereign Host, they bide their time, waiting to plunge Xen'drik into horror.

Overview

Reporting back to Hragg, you tell him of the mephits that you found. He tells you to go to the inner sanctum and kill the mephits and the summoning fires. The mephits are coming from the fires.

Objectives

Destroy all the summoning fires in the inner temple.

Walkthrough

West Side

  • After buffing, head to the first doorway, step through and then back, as a hoard of mephits will attack
  • Head to the west side first, there is a dart trap at the entrance into west corridor, box is on the other side
  • Continuing around the west side, breaking the sarcophagi will spawn wights, some casters
  • On the other side of the sarcophagi, there is a blade trap, box is on the pillar before the trap
  • After the trap, go up the stairs and destroy the summoning fire, killing any mephits that spawn from it as well

East Side

  • Head back to the central area and go south
  • Pick up the bookshelf lore collectable on the way
  • Continue around to the east side, the south passage is currently locked and barred
  • There is an Arcane Alchemy table just north of the east passage
  • There is a flame jet trap on the raised steps just past the start of the passage, box is back at the beginning of the passage
  • After the trap, there are 2 summoning fires, one in both a north and south alcove, destroy both of them
  • Further east, in a southern alcove there is a chest, this chest is trapped, and flames will shoot out of the lava when opened
    • It is possible to be safe while opening it if you do it from the south side of the chest
    • The flames are a one shot trap
  • Head into the room to the east and destroy the final summoning fire and the mephits it has spawned
