Item Sets

From DDO Compendium

Within Dungeons and Dragons Online some items have a bonus if you are wearing two or more of the items within the set. This pages lists all the item sets within the game, and what bonuses you receive when having the appropriate number of items equipped.

Korthos Island sets[edit]

These sets consist of an item that you receive as the end reward from Sacrifices, and an item you receive as an end reward from Misery's Peak. The Gem of Many Facets can be used in place of the item from Misery's Peak. It can also be upgraded using Epic Crafting to the Epic Gem of Many Facets, and then be used as a replacement for items in the Red Fens set.

Devoted Heart (Items) This item is one of two pieces of the Devoted Heart set. When both items are equipped this set provides a +36 Equipment bonus to your Healing spell power.

Nimble Hand (Items) This item is one of two pieces of the Nimble Hand set. When both items are equipped you will receive a +1 to hit, and +2 damage to sneak attack.

Pathfinders (Items) This item is one of two pieces of the Pathfinders set. When both items are equipped you will receive a +2 bonus to hit.

Protector's Heart (Items) This item is one of two pieces of the Protector's Heart set. When both items are equipped you will receive Light Fortification and a +1 bonus to AC.

Troubleshooter (Items) This item is one of two pieces of the Troubleshooter set. When both items are equipped you will receive +1 insight bonus to Fortitude, Reflex, and Willpower saves, +3 Open Locks, and +3 to Disable Device.

The Chronoscope sets[edit]

This set is made of items from the raid The Chronoscope. There is both a heroic and an epic version of this item set.

Might of the Abishai This item is one of five pieces of the Might of the Abishai set. When any three of the items are equipped you will gain a +1 profane bonus to Natural Armor, a +1 profane bonus to Strength, and a +1 bonus to your caster level on evocation spells. When all five items are equipped you will gain a +1 profane bonus to Natural Armor, a +1 profane bonus to Strength and Constitution, and a +1 bonus to your caster level on evocation and conjuration spells.

Greater Might of the Abishai This item is one of five pieces of the Greater Might of the Abishai set. When any three of the items are equipped you will gain a +3 profane bonus to Natural Armor, a +3 profane bonus to Strength, and a +3 bonus to your caster level on evocation spells. When all five items are equipped you will gain a +3 profane bonus to Natural Armor, a +3 profane bonus to Strength and Constitution, and a +3 bonus to your caster level on evocation and conjuration spells.

Three Barrel Cove set[edit]

This set is made of items from the quests in [[Three Barrel Cove].

Corsair's Cunning When two of three items of the Corsair's Cunning are equipped, you will gain the benefit of Underwater Action. If all three are equipped, you will also gain Feather Falling.

The Red Fens sets[edit]

These sets are found on items from The Red Fens, both heroic and epic versions of these sets. One item comes from Into the Deep and the other from one of the remaining quests. The Epic Gem of Many Facets, and then be used as a replacement for the item from Into the Deep.

Elder's Knowledge This item is one of two pieces of the Elder's Knowledge set. When both items are equipped you will grant your spells a +2% Insight chance to critical hit. Additionally, when you take damage, you have a small chance of benefitting from a +12 Alchemical bonus to Universal Spell Power.

Greater Elder's Knowledge This item is one of two pieces of the Greater Elder's Knowledge set. When both items are equipped you will grant your acid, fire, electric and cold spells a +6% chance to critical hit. Acid, fire, electric and cold spell critical damage will be increased by adding 0.5 to the spell critical damage multiplier.

Marshwalker This item is one of two pieces of the Marshwalker set. When both items are equipped you will receive +30% striding and +15 Competence bonus to Jump.

Siren's Ward This item is one of two pieces of the Siren's Ward set. When both items are equipped this item set will grant you a +3 insight bonus to your saving throws and a +6 insight bonus to your AC.

Greater Siren's Ward This item is one of two pieces of the Greater Siren's Ward set. When both items are equipped this item set will grant you a +2 insight bonus to your saves and a +4 insight bonus to your AC.

Vulkoor's Cunning This item is one of two pieces of the Vulkoor's Cunning set. When both items are equipped this set will reduce the wielder's threat by 20%. On melee attacks, your weapons will do an additional 1d8 to targets that are vulnerable to bleeding, as well as apply bleeding damage over time. On vorpal hits the wielder's weapons will also afflict the target with a powerful Vulkoorim poison.

Greater Vulkoor's Cunning This item is one of two pieces of the Greater Vulkoor's Cunning set. When both items are equipped you will receive 20% less threat and deliver a powerful Vulkoorim poison on vorpal strikes.

Vulkoor's Might This item is one of two pieces of the Vulkoor's Might set. When both items are equipped the wielder is granted a +3 Artifact bonus to hit and damage and 20% extra threat.

DM's Vision set[edit]

This set was created to give a nod to the two creators of Dungeons and Dragons: Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson

DM's Visions Wearing both the Mantle of the Worldshaper and Voice of the Master grants: With the two original Dungeon Masters guiding you, you can see through most illusions and trickery.

Wrath of Sora Kell set[edit]

This set is made up of any three items that come from the Lordsmarch Plaza quest chain. Even after being upgraded, you can mix and match the upgraded ones with the standard version.

Wrath of Sora Kell This item is one of three pieces of the Wrath of Sora Kell set. When all three items are equipped, this set provides a +40 Equipment bonus to Universal Spell Power. You will also gain a +2 Artifact bonus to your attack and damage rolls.

The Devil's Gambit sets[edit]

These sets are made up of items that come from the The Devil's Gambit quest chain. There is both an epic and a heroic version of these, but the items are not interchangeable. In addition, there are both sets for 2 items, and 2 sets for any 5 items.

These sets are made up of items that come from the Ravenloft expansion. There is both an legendary and a heroic version of these sets, but the items are not interchangeable. In addition, there are both sets for 3 items, and 2 sets for any 5 items.

Secrets of the Artificer Sets[edit]

These sets are found on items that have been upgraded using the Nearly Finished crafting.

Tinker's Finesse This item is one of two pieces of the Tinker's Finesse set. When both items are equipped you will receive True Seeing, as well as a +5 to attack bonus and a +8 to damage for any attack that would qualify as a Sneak Attack.

Magewright's Expertise This item is one of two pieces of the Magewright's Expertise set. When both items are equipped you will gain Spell Focus Mastery, increasing the DCs of all your spell schools by 1 each. You will also gain the Magewright's Quick Wits ability: when you are hit by a physical attack, there is a chance you will gain a +12 Alchemical bonus to Universal Spell Power for 10 seconds.

Fabricator's Ingenuity This item is one of two pieces of the Fabricator's Ingenuity set. When both items are equipped you will gain +25% stacking fortification and +2 to-hit/+2 damage on your weapon attacks.

Alchemist's Lore This item is one of two pieces of the Alchemist's Lore set. When both items are equipped you will reduce the cost of your Empower, Maximize, and Empower Healing metamagics by 2 each. You will also gain the Alchemist's Preservation ability: spells cost 10% less SP to cast when you are between 50% and 25% HP, 20% less when you are between 25% and 10% HP; and 30% less when you have under 10% HP remaining.

Eveningstar Commendation Sets[edit]

These sets are made up of items that come from the Menace of the Underdark expansion. These sets are made up of three items: two you have to purchase from the vendors in Eveningstar with commendations, and the third is a piece of armor from quests in the Menace of the Underdark story arc. That piece of armor then needs to be upgraded using the same commendations for the other items in the set to add the effect that makes it part of the set.

Amaunator's Blessing This item is one of three parts of the Amaunator's Blessing set. When all three items from the set are equipped, you will gain a 10% Enhancement discount to the Spell Point cost of all your spells.

Knight's Loyalty This item is one of three parts of the Knight's Loyalty set. When all three items from the set are equipped, you will gain a +3 Artifact bonus to your To-Hit and Damage rolls, and a +3 Insight bonus to Natural Armor.

Way of the Sun Soul
  • This item is one of three parts of the Way of the Sun Soul set. When all three items from the set are equipped and you are centered, you will gain +2 to To-Hit and Damage rolls. In addition, when you roll a natural 20 on an attack roll that is confirmed as a critical hit, you will gain a temporary benefit based on the elemental stance you are in, if any:

Battle Arcanist This item is one of three parts of the Battle Arcanist set. When all three items from the set are equipped and you are centered, you will gain a 10% Enhancement discount to the Spell Point cost of all your spells.

Iconic Level 15 sets[edit]

These sets consist of a items that you receive as an Iconic upon reaching level 15.

Set name Description Actual Effect
Risk and Reward This item is one of two pieces of the Risk and Reward set. When both items from this set are equipped, your melee attacks deal an additional +0.5[W] damage dice. Your attacks also gain a 5% Chance to Hit to Bluff your target for four seconds. (Bluffed enemies can be affected by Sneak Attacks even while targeting you.)

Planar Focus sets[edit]

These sets consist of a trinket that you receive from quests in The Demonweb Adventure Pack, and a weapon from the Caught in the Web raid.

The weapons must first be upgraded to Planar Conflux weapons using Purple Dragon Knight crafting.

Dragonscale Armor sets[edit]

These sets are between flawless dragonscale armor and helmets from the Gianthold Tor Dragons.

Draconic Ferocity While the Helm of the Black Dragon is equipped at the same time as a Flawless Black Dragonscale armor, robe, or docent, you will gain a +3% Artifact bonus to melee Doublestrike chance and a +2 Artifact bonus to damage with ranged and thrown weapons.

Draconic Resilience While the Helm of the White Dragon is equipped at the same time as a Flawless White Dragonscale armor, robe, or docent, you will gain a +50 Artifact bonus to Maximum Hit Points.

Class Based Sets[edit]

These sets require a character to be at least 18 levels of a specific class before they will activagte.

The items may be found as chest loot in the Devil's Battlefield wilderness area - belts and necklaces are from flagging quests and Tower of Despair Shadowmaster chest, rings are from Tower of Despair Horoth end chest.

Note that you only need to be a particular class to be able to take advantage of the enhancement-based (Tier 1) set bonuses: any character can get the other bonuses.
