This policy is intended to define acceptable user names that are created on the DDO Compendium.

Character Usage[edit]

When creating a new account only letters and numbers are to be used. The use of any non-standard character is disallowed by an installed extension and will trigger an error when creating a new account.

Username Likeness[edit]

Usernames should be unique and dissimilar to other existing usernames. In addition, usernames should not imply any sort of power or capability (such as bot or admin), or a link with Dungeons & Dragons Online, Turbine, Standing Stone Games, or Daybreak Games.

If you wish to create an account that implies such a link to the aforementioned companies, we would prefer to be able to verify such connection, so as to prevent impersonation. If you wish to create a bot account for editing on the Compendium, please see the bot accounts policies.

Inappropriate Names[edit]

User names will not contain any wording or inferences towards profanity, racism, sexism, or hate of any type. User names will also not contain any sort of URL/URI, or a web address of any type.

User name appropriateness is subject to administrator discretion.

About This Policy[edit]
