DDO Compendium:Game Guide Writing

This policy is intended to give guidance to those who wish to write guides for Dungeons & Dragons Online.

Where to Create

Game guides should only be created within your user space. Any guides created in any other namespace will be flagged for deletion.

What is a game guide?

A game guide consists of any opinionated material on how to do something in-game. This can include topics such as farming guides, varied methods of completing quests, character building. Main articles will contain the most direct way to perform a specific task in DDO, but there are likely to be other methods that some players may find easier. This is what is referred to as game guides.

Why Game Guides?

Game guides are intended to provide detailed walkthroughs for varying topics. Every player will have their preferred method of doing things and this will provide an outlet for them to share their methods with others.

Linking

You are welcome to link your completed game guides in all relevant articles on the Compendium. Game guides that are works-in-progress or not complete should not be linked in main articles. Game guides that are outdated because of game updates should be either updated accordingly or have their links removed from other articles.
