Dungeons and Dragons Online has the same concept of Abilities as with Dungeons & Dragons (Tabletop).

Abilities are 6 Stats that define your generic character's strengths and weaknesses

The 6 abilities include:

Physical: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution

Mental: Wisdom, Intelligence, Charisma

Abilities and Modifiers[edit]

There are two aspects to each Ability, their Score and Modifier

Their Score is the usually the larger value, seen on the character sheet. This represents, respectively, your score in that ability. A higher score means a higher ability

The Modifier is a separate value that depicts a lesser number that scales with the Score. This is what is used for instances such as attack modifiers, Skill modifiers

The Modifier is equal to the ability score minus 10 divided by 2. Therefore, a score of 20 result in a modifier of +5.
